I set the backup location for DSL to be hda1, and it worked well until now. but I want to change the location to sda1 to keep everything on the flash drive. Any help would be appreciated.

There are several ways to do that. One way is just to use the DSL control panel button for Backup/Restore and put sda1 in there and click Backup. Another way is to put backup=sda1 on the bootline so it does it automatically when you power down or reboot.

when you say this, do you mean the boot options menu under F2 at the sartup?
