when i log in with graphic mode, a browser window appeare; can i block this? i don't want that this will be opened.

Any lan cards that are activated will show up if you type ifconfig in a terminal.

for the ip address we would need a little more info.  Where is the IP adress being displayed?  In the slit or on the desktop using torsmo (if you are not sure which version of DSL are you using).  If you are using torsmo edit your .torsmorc file to change what gets displayed.  This file is documented pretty good so should be fairly easy to follow.  

To quickly find out what the IP addresses are use the command sudo ifconfig.  This will list all network interfaces.
