Based on my experience from DSL-0.8 to DSL-2.2b, all iso files are good for burning but some CD cannot use with some CD-ROM drive. ISO files is just like a ZIP file for CD-buring-program. I got the same problem on my old PC (AMD-K6-2) also. I replaced the old CD-ROM drive with CD-RW Combo that I can use it for burning by K3b.dsl
