I'm trying to put dsl linux on a friends older laptop. I've downloaded the DSL-2.2.iso and burnt it to a cd using MagicISO. (I think I burned it right. The instructions were a little unclear to me.) I have the files boot, knoppix, lost+found, and index on the cd I burnt.
The cd won't boot. I have the bios set to boot from cd. I thought it may be a bad download. I downloaded the dsl-2.2.iso.md5 text file but I'm clueless as to how to check the md5sum. I downloaded Quickpar to check the md5sum but can't figure it out. I'm using windows xp btw. Any help would be great. (p.s.--sorry for being so ignorant--I told you I was new as a noob could get:^)
