There are at least two DSL remasters with kernel 2.6 in existence. However, they are currently not made public, and as far as I know there is still no definite plan for implementing an official 2.6 DSL in the near future.
FYI: 454.41kb is definitely NOT an acceptable filesize for a forum avatar. Broadband is still a luxury in many places, and is non-existent in some places.
