OK I am fairly new at DSL, but I am starting to like it (it worked on my ooooold laptop toshiba 225CDS) and even picked up on the wireless). However, now I want my HP Deskjet 722C to work. So I browsed around, found a supposedly working driver (pnm2ppa), and downloaded it. However, it needs to be compiled, and I found out that make is not included in DSL!
I tried apt-get install make (after activating apt-get), but it doesn't work???
complaining about a broken pipe and overwriting /bin/chgrp
(sorry couldn't figure out how to cut and paste the full response in here)
So can anybody tell me how I can get make to work under DSL (or if somebody allready got the pnm2ppa pacakge complied and working on the latest DSL, can I get the compiled files?)
