hi all i was wondering if someone could help me setup sylpheed with yahoo mail. becuase i cant seem to find any information on how to setup a yahoo mail account with sylpheed. i already know how to setup a gmail account but im trying to setup my sisters yahoo account for sylpheed and i cant figure it out so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you just need to follow the directions on Yahoo's page :

You must be using one of Yahoo's premium services in order to get POP access. This has been the case for at least a couple of years.

An alternative is to try something like Yahoopops or FetchYahoo, which are programs/scripts that use http to access the mail, bypassing the need for a browser. I've tried fetchyahoo in DSL, but it requires a number of perl modules that are not available in DSL...so far i just haven't bothered to collect them.

well thnxs for the help anyway guys. it sucks that yahoo requires u to have a premium account just to do POP ill try to get my sister to switch over to gmail then.
