i installed dsl into 486 and i don't know how to disable stuff from
booting, like, dsl tries to see if i have usb/pci/scsi hardware...
well this computer does not have any of these, how can i prevent dsl from booting these? dsl would boot a lot faster if i could do this.

oh yeah, i'm n00b :F

Did you turn on dma..if you do not have them it can not boot them..dsl scams for hardware..this is handy if you change hardware..it auto detects it..this is part of the boot process .the boot loader should mention no scsi no pci ....if that helps.
