I'm working on a package to change the font of the linux console (tty) using the setfont program and a pile of fonts taken from a fatter distro.  So far I'm having no trouble setting a new font, but i have no idea if it's possible to revert to the default once the script has begun its work.  There's a font "lat9u-16" listed in /etc/console-tools/config, but that font does not seem to exist anywhere in the system.  In fact, there doesn't seem to be a single console font file in DSL.  There are console-font-related files in /usr/share/consoletrans, but they do not appear to be fonts.

Another issue I'm having with console fonts package is just the fact that it includes setfont.  My understanding is that the consolechars program, which is in DSL, is supposed to be a "newer and better" version of setfont, but all I get out of it is segfaults when i attempt to set the font with it.

EDIT: Got it sorted.  The setfont program has the "-o <filename>" option that allows you to save the current font to a file, so i just ran this command at the beginning of the script and use the newly created file as a backup in case the user wants to revert to it.
