Hi,

I'm currently using DSL for my embedded system with a
P/S2 touch screen.

The Touchkit drivers are only compatible with other Linux OS such as Red Hat, Mandrake and Fedora. Anyway that I can
install one of those drivers to DSL???

Please advise..... Thanks.

Hi rokcavs, I am trying to do the same thing. I found the touchkit driver, now I just need to figure out how to take the files in the RPM and package it as a DSL extention. If I make any progress I will post it here.

Otherwise if anyone else has already done this with a touchkit or Elo compatible driver, please let me know.

Thanks!

Ok, making some progress... I found fairly simple instructions to get the touchpanel to work under Ubuntu Linux. Now I need to figure out how to merge this driver module into my DSL image.

Basically what's involved is adding a .o file into the X11 input drivers folder and making some changes to the xorg.conf file

The regular linux instructions are here:
http://stz-softwaretechnik.com/~ke/touchscreen/evtouch.html

Can someone point me in the right direction as to what needs to be done to add this module to the DSL distribution. Can it be done in a .dsl extention or do I need to extract the KNOPPIX file, make the changes in there, then repackage everything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Vince.

Thanks for the info. It really helps me a lot. Anway, I got the instructions on how to manually install the touchkit driver to other Linus OS like DSL.

If you are interested in having a look at it, please provide your email add to me.

Is there anyway that i can post up the instruction as attachment for all to download?
