I have installed DSL on my old laptop. Really impressed. However, there is ONE problem: I cannot enter Alt-GR symbols (such as @ £ $) from my Norwegian keyboard when filling out forms in my browser (e.g., as I had to when singing up for this forum). This applies to both firefox and opera. In other applications, @ works fine.

Any idea?

I just installed DSL 3.0.1 (had 2.4 before), and the problem is fixed! :)

Well, I realized that the problem had not disappeared in DSL 3.0.1 either. I just needed to re-boot the computer, and the problem with @ was back.  :( However, thanks to bodtx, it is now working   Splendid!
