I'd like to use DLS installed on HD on my PC (PII 350Mhz 128Mb RAM) because it's very fast and I can save my old PC.

My problem is that I want to use also the Japanese IME.
In mandriva I can write and read english and japanese because there is a multilanguage system (for japanese mandriva uses anthy).

Is it possible do that even in DSL? It's really important for me because I need of a light and free english os (installed on HD) that permit me to write in english and japanese.
Thanks
Please write me soon

I'm facing a similar problem.  I want to use pinyin, (Roman characters with Chinese accent marks over the vowels).

So far, I've found that I need to update from xfs (X window font server) to xfstt (True Type enabled X windows font server).

Then I'll be able to use the Pinyin Okay True Type font.

I'll also have to right click on the desktop, click on "System" and click on "Keyboard" so I can select the correct keyboard layout.

I imagine you'll have to do something similar.
