Alright, this is my first post, I've searched around the forum for my answer, but no matter what I try I still can't get this to work. Here's my problem:
I ran DSL for a day or two with just the disc before installing it to the harddrive. After I installed it to the harddrive I decide to install some more software. The first thing I get is MPlayer. I went to myDSL, found Mplayer, clicked, downloaded, and then the desktop item popped up... installed. Later I try aMSN, I do the exact same process, except when I click download it doesn't do anything. Eventually I found out about using the Xshell (I believe) to see 'wget whatever the link is'. I tried it, and it downloaded it, then went and installed with myDSL. It worked. Next time I tried to install something it was Mario Bros Clone, I used 'wget' and then tried to install but it just showed up on my 'myDSL' list but wouldn't load anything up. Can anyone clear up what I'm doing wrong? Should I just reinstall DSL perhaps? I think I've described everything well enough. Or maby I'm just too much of a noob to get it :S.
Thanks for reading and possibly helping!, Desroches.
