Using 3.0.1 is perfect for my needs. (semi-retired Sr Citz) Last thing for completely dropping my Win2k is the scanner. Have Acer Prisa 620st.
Downloaded: gtk2.0705.dsl Sane frontend and backend (1.0.14tar.gz)
Dmesg shows error: kmod failed to exec /sbin.modprobe -s -k scsi hostadapter errono =2
Rest indicates: pci found irq11 acard (scanner name etc) scsi2 acard etc
Near the end: scsi: found irq11 for device 00:0e,0 scsi: <fdomain> Detection failed (no card).
Am I missing something?
Edit: "modprobe scanner" gives me usb-scanner. I think I need SCSI.
