hello
when DSL is starting it shows:
Processor 0 is Intel Pentium 4 3.200 MHz 0kB Cache
Processor 1 is Intel Pentium 4 3.200 MHz 0kB Cache
when i try "cat /proc/cpuinfo":
...
Cache: 16kB (there should be L2 as far as i know)
...

My CPU is P4 HT "640" 2 MB Cache.
Everest and CPU-Z under windows shows cache L2 correctly.

whats wrong then?
is it mean, that cache of my CPU is not used under Linux?!?

I see something similar in DSL where the cpu cache is shown (incorrectly) as 64MB - in DSL-N it is shown (correctly) as 2048MB.

Since my machine appears to run at the same speed with DSL & DSL-N, you could say that the cache is treated similarly by the two kernels - whether that means it is used to the full extent is difficult to say...
