Lots of people are promoting things on myspace using adder bots.
Things like , and get-rich-quick schemes.
Add requests abound which lead to totally fake Myspace profiles that are really only billboards designed to look vaguely like some individual's personal page, and they are only proliferating.
Personally, I don't see where having a bot pretending to be many people trying to be everyone's friend so they can spam your comment area is all that different than having a swarm of horseflies swarming about your head.
If there is some useful outfit that people would want to be involved in, say, Linux, there are Myspace Groups that can be joined.
