So I'm tooling up to get my hands dirty, and I've installed the cloop module on my Gentoo box.  Then I try to mount up the KNOPPIX file in DSL 0.7.3...

Code Sample
Jul 30 19:07:36 mesmer kernel: cloop: Cannot read old architecture-dependent (format <= 1.0) images, please use an older version of cloop for this file.

Wellll.... that sux.    I suppose I can back-version, but how far back do I need to go? Or is there a util to munge cloop fs versions?

As it turns out, cloop 1.02 is easy to backversion to.  Looks like 2.0 is intended for 2.6 kernels, but you know Gentoo... bleeding edge all the way! :)

The Knoppix compressed fs mounts just fine, now.
