I have the following MyDSL extensions:
firefox-1.5.0.6.uci
gtk+-2.10.9.unc
jre1_5_0.uci

I also made the upgrade to Flash Player 9 as described at http://damnsmalllinux.org/static/

But I keep having problems with Firefox at times.  Sometimes, I have to reload the MyDSL extensions in order to get Firefox 1.5.0.6 to open.  Often, Firefox 1.5.0.6 is very unstable and crashes whenever I try to do anything (like type something in).  Any time Firefox 1.5.0.6 is unstable, the stock Firefox 1.0.6 is unstable as well.

What's going on here?

How much ram do you have? Keep in mind that on a typical harddrive-installed system the Firefox cache is written to harddrive, but in a typical DSL system it is written to RAM. If you reduce the size of your cache, or use a persistent home, or link your firefox cache to a directory on disk, it may be less likely to crash.
