I did a HD install of .5.2 and noticed that when I change to virtual terms Ctrl Alt F1 etc and log in it starts X. I want to change this so it goes to cli like its supposed to also when I su - when I am using rxvt it restarts the window manager under X I want to change that as well. I just want a command prompt in rxvt. I changed the run level in roots inittab to run level 3 but am still getting X when I log in as root.

TIA

OK I fingered it out. I edited  .bash_profile for root and for user and removed startx that fixed it.
Keep up the good work John I am learning a lot with your little distro.

Thanks
