HELP ME!

God can someone please help me. I have downloaded a version of DSL and burnt it to a CD but it wont boot. I thought for a moment that it was my computer (though I totaly havent ruled that out) so I tried another CD but the Windows XP CD will boot fne from the get go.

Any suggestions people. its werid but it is as if the CD is blank. my CD drive reads it but then just boots my Windows installation.

Please Help

Jace.

P.s. Im using a Compaq nx9005 Laptop. I have use DSL before on this computer without any trouble.

Here's how to find some answers....

1. Did you check the md5sum after you downloaded the .iso ?
2. What version did you download ?
3. Does the cd bootup on any other computer ?
4. Do any other "burned" cdrs read ok on your laptop ?
5. What speed did you burn your cdr ?
6. What do you see when you read the disk from within Windows ?

I downloaded 0.7.1 but I have a newer version too. I actually have it working at the moment with a Boot Floppy but is there a way to boot without the floppy?
