When I boot from my remastered CD with no compact flash in /dev/hdc, I have no error messages. When I boot with the compact flash in /dev/hdc I get an error as follows:
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, Booting from the Kernel
Ide-scsi: hda: Unsupported command in request queue (0)
pdcraid: Error reading superblock
Ide-scsi: hda: Unsupported command in request queue (0)
pdcraid: Error reading superblock
Ide-scsi: hda: Unsupported command in request queue (0)
silraid: Error reading superblock

Then it loads knoppix-autoconfig with no problems, and I can even mount /dev/hdc with no problems and read/write to it. The system functions normally.

I cannot have the visuals of errors on the screen though, as this is for an installer CD (yay whiptail/sh).

Anyway I have tried mounting the boot.img and editing syslinux.cfg to change hdc and hda to ide-scsi instead of just 'scsi'. I have also tried editing lilo.conf in my target source files and running lilo.

I think it may display that message three times because I have three partitions on hdc (hdc1, hdc2 and hdc3).

Is it possible that the CD tries to boot itself as hda, and also tries to load /dev/hdc as hda (its an onboard Compact Flash slot on a miniboard).

Let me know if you have any ideas about this...

Even if I boot from the latest distro (CD) of dsl, I get this error when I have a Compact Flash mounted on the board.

When I boot in failsafe it seems to not complain. When I copy all the boot switches (appends) in syslinux.cfg from the failsafe mode to the default mode it still complains but much less. I am not sure how to explain why that happens.
