Hi, I'm new in Linux and I'm using DSL for practice and get on it...
I've been used the Microslow OS for years... And I've get sick for those lots and lots of runtime errors, virus, unexpected errors... >_< but I did'nt know that there was a lot better OS than Win... Then I'm now changing to Linux, but first I need to know how to use it, for that reason, I'm now using DSL for practiting some commands, viewing the interface...

Ok, here's the first question:

About the floppy disks, I've mounted them, I've accesed to them, now... I want to know how formate them, both in EXT2 and FAT???

Hmm...

See if this works. Open up an xterminal window and type:

mkfs -t EXT2 /dev/fd0

It works. But when it finish with the format and I try to mount the disk, I can't.

I'm using the auto-mount button (That with the screw on it)

And how can I give to the floppy disk a FAT format in DSL?
