Hello I hope some one can put me in the right direction, I have been working at this ACPI thing for days. I have a laptop that i have made into a Linux picture frame I'm sure you have seen them on the web, fun project. The box has no keyboard and no mouse, all programs start up and wow pictures and music play from the cdrom full of jpeg's and mp3's, ok here is the problem I need to be able to shut down with the power button because yep no keyboard and mouse. I need a complete shut down so the cdrom ejects and linux don't f---k up next boot. I have installed acpid (apt-get install acpid) but the button is still not working The internet says any kernel after 2.4.20 has acpi built in so i'm using dsl 0.7.1 (kernel 2.4.26) which i think has it. I know the new one doesn't so I'm lost don't know what else to do, does any one out there know how to get the acpi working so when the power button is pressed the laptop will power down? Any help would be great.

Thank you.
