Hi!
As a n00b to Linux and DSL I must say I'm impressed with the coders work! But of course there are some configuration issues.
I'm running DSL on a Toshiba Sattelite 1410 laptop, from a liveCD running thru ramdisk and using my 256 mb. MP3player/USB drive as an mounted device/temporary harddrive.
When I try to save my options, I tell my filetool.lst to monitor my programsfolder (/opt/programs). I then DSL restore. This does not restore my installed programs (BT etc.).
When I save the .DSL files directly to the USB drive and then DSL mydsl=sda1 it restores my programs, but not my user-configured options like themes.
I've also tried to do a manual back-up/restore.
Any one know some helpfull hints? Thanks from Norway
btw, I've searched the forum, but I guess nobody experiences the same problems as me...
