I guess I am getting senile in my old age. Or I have gotten spoiled by distros that do everything for one.  I have done a dual boot system for a friend using DSL and Windows(spit)XP. I installed Lilo as that is what he requested. Claims he used to work with linux and know a little of lilo. Now it boots o.k. and I know if you press the shift button during the pause a menu will pop up showing both os. Darn if I can remember how to cause this menu to pop up without pressing shift. Could someone please remind this old man how that is done?

Sorry guys.  I remembered about 15 minutes after my post. This entry has to be put in lilo after the delay line.

prompt

Then it stops and shows a menu.

No need to be sorry. I did not know how to do that, so I learned from your post.
