Hi all,

I have been reading the long thread concerning a frugal install. I have become intrigued with the frugal way of running dsl. Below I have put the append line I am using in a dual boot system. I would like to have input on this line. I would like to have suggestions as to what should/could be added or removed.

===============================================================

APPEND="ramdisk_size=100000 init=/etc/init lang=us apm=power-off initrd=minirt/mnt/hda3/24.gz nomce noapic quiet BOOT_IMAGE=knoppix restore=hda4 fromhd=/dev/hda3 toram home=hda4 opt=hda4 noicons   mydsl=hda4"

===============================================================

I would also be interested in seeing what others are using in thier append line. It would be helpful to know what type of system is being used.

This line is used on a thinkpad 600e with 293mb of ram. I would like to see append lines that are used in low resource computers, especially laptops. I have seen the thread with the line cbagger01 uses.

David
