Thanks roberts. P.s. I wanted mycustom to boot to xsetup.sh, so I edited xserverrc (put a # at the beginning,) which didn't produce the desired effect, so I deleted xserverrc, which did. So now when I send a mycustom bizcard to my brother-in-law, he'll go into xsetup.sh, with his hardware.
P.p.s. I think I only quite realized yesterday, that it seems that you guys primarily create DSL for live use, and perhaps pendrive use, in preference to hd use.
Myself, I mostly use hd, and pendrive. I'm sure you are aware of the following, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to mention;
Obviously live cd is No.1, like my brother-in-law will receive a tiny envelope in the mail, boot the 50mb bizcard, and see his baby son as the desktop background, which will slightly blow his mind. This will be the 1st time he sees Linux. No doubt he will slip the card into his wallet and play with it at work.
I use laptop Toshiba Satellite 2800-200 PIII-m 700mhz 192mb. The dvd drawer is top right, & the cpu is right next to it. So running live, too much heat for my liking. Pity the cpu is not on opposite side to dvd.
I'm sure I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know. I think my brother-in-law good example of No.1 dynamism of live cd, and yet, the emergence of inexpensive pendrive is perhaps significant or something.
best wishes andyp.
