Hi,

I'm a newbie to linux and I like to know how to change the destop from fluxbox to XFCE. Is there an easy way to do it?

Short answer - No.

Long answer, not really.

You will have to point apt to the deb place that is on the XFCE website, download it, and all required packages (upwards of 140mb), hope that there are no broken dependencies that it needs. Then you will probably have to manually translate anything that needs to be moved from fluxbox (like menus).

Takes a lot of time, but is theoretically possible.

If you really want XFCE that bad, you can always try LiutLinux

It is based on an older version of DSL and uses the XFCE window manager instead of Fluxbox.
