Hi I'm a linux newbie and for a long time I wanted to try linux. I was able to install DSL on my virtual machine using vmware. I would like some help on how to install rdesktop on DSL. I want to access our Win 2k terminal server using rdesktop.

Regards,

Arlie L.C.

An rdesktop icon should be on your desktop..
rdesktop is already in DSL.

click the icon, and add the IP you wish to connect to.

You may be having issues because you are not running it native,
but under vmware ..   therefore, it uses the synthesized network..

Boot from the LiveCD, run rdesktop,
and see if you can connect to your server.

Yes it's already on my desktop. I was able to connect to Win2k terminal server.

By the way, how do I configure rdesktop to run a specific program when connected. Like notepad.exe for example.

Thanks.

How do I make my remote program on win2k terminal server print locally on my linux workstation.

How do I share my printer connected to linux workstation in the network and allow window workstation print on it.
