I left my computer (dsl from hdd) running from yesterday to today. Just now i saw my monitor was not showing anything. It works fine because i tested it using another computer. I had this before but then i just moved the mouse, so the display came back on screen. Im guessing its in sleepmode or something. Does anyone know how to get things running again of my screen?

If an program becomes very slow or gets stuck im used to press ctrl+alt+delete to get in taskmanager to close applications or use alt+f4. Apparantly this does not work on dsl. Does it use keyboard combinations to close things of or restart the computer?

I am pretty knew to this so someone can probably help you more than I can but I know Xvesa server is believed to have a memory leak, which may be leading to your problem. You can try switching to Xfbdev server using X Setup in the menu which may work for you. It may just be that the memory leak eats up all your memory because I was having the same problem.

yours will do as any other because i am clueless surrounding dsl or Linux in general. Its a miracle that i even managed to install it on hdd.

So if i want to try out your solution i would have to restart the computer manually by pressing the reset button? cause it wont do anything else right now. Where do i find Xfbdev?

Suppose its the second one, the one of memory leaking, then what? What did you do about it?

Are you using DSL embedded from inside Microsoft Windows?

I am not aware of a linux task mangaer in DSL that behaves as you described.
