The mknod command in linux is a command needed to install  drivers for hardware devices such as a modem. When I try to use mknod I get a command not found error. mknod is needed to install drivers other than those included in DSL.

Can anyone help? I have installed the gcc, utils and dpkg mydsl packages.

The mknod command is part of gnu-utils.dsl.
Be sure that you have the latest version of gnu-utils.dsl.
