I formatted the flash drive and started clean, so there`s no .dsl or any other load on boot files. I syslinux the flash drive with syslinux.com from a boot floppy. Syslinux.com is for DOS only ( NOT DOS box in Win. ), syslinux.exe is for NT, Win2k, XP. As I said there`s the error: cdrom not found, cdrom not loaded, it always found it before. In this case the flash drive "sda1" IS the cdrom I beleve, which explains why it won`t backup. It`s hard to imagine what could be wrong from a clean poorman install, it BOOTs fine, just no backup & restore. I ran scandisk from Win., NO ERRORs! Heeeeelp!!!!!!!!
