Dear All,

Is there a way that I can capture the screen and save this image into a file ?

In window I just press the "Print Screen" key then open some softeware
Edit + Paste then I can save this into a file

I just don't know how to do this in DSL. Thanks for any suggestion in advance.

There's a screenshot application in DSL...check the 'Tools' menu.  No idea how it works, since I use the Imagemagick extension for screenshots  (plug plug).

There is a very nice description of it here.  It's hiding under the menu apps->toolls->X Windows Snapshot.

A cursor appears and you click and drag over what you want to capture.

it puts the myscreen.xwd file in your home folder.

yes. it works. Tks.

But I find another way to do it (I think this is easier for me)
I am using DSL version .0.9.1 and there is  XPaint at the desktop

XPaint 2.6.2 --> File --> Take Snapshot --> select area --> File
--> Save as gif, jpeg, .... --> Done
