i just want everyone to know i know nothing about linux so far before i start...
i usually just boot from my thumb drive its unzipped in there and takes up about 112 megs

two questions

1)i just downloaded dsl-embedded-0.9.2 onto my 256 usb thumb drive but i was wondering if i could take that whole file,turn it into an iso then burn it onto a cd then run it from a computer and if so would this do anything to said computer.

2)when i want to backup my settings i should use hda as device and this would backup all games and such to my usb thumb drive?

any help would be greatly appresiated, thanks

IMHO, with qemu still under heavy development, I don't think you will see such from me.
I don't want a bunch of coasters. At least with the current offering, dsl-embedded-0.9.2, you can easily update the version of qemu, or dsl. Both the backup/restore and mydsl system are fully supported in the current offering using hdb. Also, any machine that is capable of running qemu environment will more than likely have the usb pendrive. Besides, you suggestion is to use the usb pendrive for backup.

There is a thread with someone's patches to make a remaster. However, the last time I read of it, it breaks several internal scripts. So it would be suitable only this dedicated use.
