This is kind of a continuation from another thread, but I think this is more appropriate section for it.
I received a laptop from my mom not too long ago, but it had some problems with Win 2K on it. I formatted the hard drive and put DOS 7.1 on it. I'm not a big windows fan, I've had nothing but trouble with it, so I decided to try Linux. I came across DSL and thought, 50mb?! I can download this on my dial-up! Yay! The Laptop only has a floppy drive in it, but I have an external Iomeg ZIP CD-RW. Trouble is, it only has a USB cable to hook it up. I downloaded the ISO for DSL and burned it to CD with some help from these forums, but my laptop wont recognize the CD drive. I tried a boot disk I found on mike.warpedbelief.com/dos/msdos71/ and it still wont recognize it, any ideas?
