I know that press down both left and right on 2 buttons mouse would be
ok on my FreeBSD afterstep. But it does not work on dsl

2 button mouse will work with DSL cut and paste.
You need to configure it. It is in the .xserverrc file in the home directory.
The default is -mouse "/dev/psaux" exit the window manager and then
either re-run the xsetup.sh script or change it to -2button.  
I have one of machines using the -2button and it works just fine.
