What version Firefox is now installed in DSL 0.9.0.1? (i ask because i use FF 1.0 pre)
AND (the bigger question) How do i upgrade from DSL 0.8.4 to 0.9.0.1 (what a minute, i know how to upgrade, easy...)
BUT
Right now i have lots of stuff backuped (backup.tar.gz) like:
opt/ppp opt/bootlocal.sh opt/powerdown.sh home/dsl/filetool.lst home/dsl/.pixmaps home/dsl/.fluxbox home/dsl/.fluxbox-0.9.10 home/dsl/.xinitrc home/dsl/.xserverrc home/dsl/.emelfm home/dsl/.mplayer home/dsl/.xmms home/dsl/.bash_profile home/dsl/.mozilla home/dsl/.bashrc /opt/bdc home/dsl/GNUstep home/dsl/.wmbiffrc home/dsl/.wmsmixer home/dsl/.wmclockmonrc etc/apt/sources.list usr/bin/wmifinfo home/dsl/tkweather home/dsl/.chbg_prop home/dsl/chbg_scenario home/dsl/chbg_foto's opt/fix-fstab.sh home/dsl/.LinNeighborhood home/dsl/.amsn /ramdisk/opt/amsn/skins/default/displaypic home/dsl/.torsmorc /opt/torsmo home/dsl/.ymessenger usr/bin/wmtop home/dsl/.xawtv /home/dsl/.wmdrawerrc
Fact: I've got DSl on a usb-stick which is booted with loadlin (from a dos partition) When i upgrade from dsl A to dsl B i just isobust (open) the ISO file and extract the following files/maps:
KNOPPIX/ BOOT/ lost+found/ index.html
Then i overwrite the old maps/files with the new ones and boot the stick.
Problem with this is the restore function which overwrites the maps/files that are noted in my filetool.lst (see above list)
So my question is: should i just boot without the backup.tar.gz and then restore manually? (extract the maps/files from the backup.tar.gz and manually copy them to the new DSL-structure?)
If i don't there will be new stuff overwritten by the restore (flux-menu/firefox config/emelfm config/ etc..)
Guess i am gonna just wing it ...
