Xplanet looks cool, but... how do i make it move in the background of my desktop? (i hear -animate doesn't work)

Do i have to make a script to make it move?
Is it possible to get realtime image? (are the images displayed real pictures? or "just" drawings?)

I have xearth for windows, for my desktop at work

I have it looking at a stationary position (houston TX)
[viewpoint : fixed : Latitude: 29.65 : Longitude: -95.28
Then as the daylight moves around the shadow moves, but the planet doesnt...I set it to update every minute so the shadow doenst bounce around...perhaps xplanet has the same kind of options

I found out that xplanet refreshes itself every 10 minutes (default) or that you can add: -wait x (seconds) as a parameter.

I have it running now (/usr/bin/xplanet -longitude 5 -latitude 51) and i see the shadow on the Earth moving towards/over my country while in fact it is getting lighter outside (morning/dawn).?

?

What am i doing wrong?

Could this be a timezone-issue? (In the Netherlands we have GMT +1, Greenwich Mean Time +1 hour)

Patrick, i was wondering if you or anyone else has found a soulution to this.

Ive been told its supposed to follow my Bios time and yet the shadow seems like its even going the wrong way round the globe... if that possible.

Im GMT and its supposed to be set with GMT so i can't find the problem, also I see no options in the config file or the command line that allow you to specify the time and/or the direction of the shadow.
