I have tried both ways. I don't have internet in linux yet, have to wait for new modem. When I click either one, they show no connection & shut down. I have tried it with actual linux software. Nothing.
Like I said, I think I'm to dos oriented right now. I'm a total newby.

OK. After digging through HP & ArcSoft, I found out they don't have linux support. I'll just use the camera in win & copy the pics to linux. I can at least do that now. Next thing I try, I'll provide more details. Sorry & Thanks.
