It is not as easy to use as the "k3b" program that comes with knoppix but in my opinion it is easier to use than bashburn or the command line (although bashburn is cool if you have to work in text mode and the command line will work fine if you do some homework first).
You can try the gcombust autodetect to try and find your CD-RW drive. If not, open an xterm and type: "sudo cdrecord -scanbus | more" and it should tell you the address of your CD burner.

I'll try gcombust because I tryed with cdrecord and
a) It erases (or so it seems) an old cdrw (cdrecord dev=0,1,0 -eject blank=fast)
b) I copyed some stuff (cdrecord dev=0,1,0 -eject /bla/bla/bla but I can not see what it has recorded so...I reboot with an w95 floppy with cd drivers and when I type 'dir' w95 shout me about some inconsistent format or ISO 9 So I assumed cd was bad recorded
I've installed gcombust.dsl
really seems little confusing than k3b
I cotinue trying it!
