one of the pics on the main page says "playing a music CD while running in RAM"..
Is it possible to put the entire DSL in RAM, and is any extra program needed for that? Is DSL moved from the hard drive to RAM every time you boot (and the opposite when you shut down?) or how does it work?

mmm i would have thought there would be a slight speed benefit. ram is faster then harddrives isnt it. though there is no point doing it.

Yes quite right!!!!! my point was it's not an option HD users have as you dont get the boot options............. and you dont need to do it to play cd only live disk users with only one drive.....

but theoretically, wouldn't it be possible to have entire DSL in RAM since it is only 50mb? and wouldn't it be -a lot- faster than hd once booted up?
