I use Burncdcc ... all it does is burn iso's

always check the Read Verify box and it will check the burn for errors

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/burncdcc.html

http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/utilities.html

you can use cd2iso to calculate an md5sum of the cd
if it burned pefectly, the md5sum should be the same as the iso's md5sum

http://www.dubaron.com/cd2iso/

you can calculate the md5sum of a cd in linux by typing
md5sum /dev/cdrom
if the md5sum is the same as the iso's md5sum, it's a perfect burn
if you get read errors or a different md5sum,
it still may be a perfect burn ... or not
google for ways to get around the buggy drivers
