This thread is for people working to get java and flash plugins working inside a Damn Samll Linux browser. See also the DSL remastering Howto. Here are some notes:
1) As of this writing, the Mozilla automatic plug-in finder grabs the wrong java version, for Mozilla >1.5. 2) The older sun version of the java plugin won't work with Firefox or Mozilla 1.5. You'll need the "ns610-gcc32" version, compiled against gcc 3.x. 3) The "ns610-gcc32" version of the java plugin has its own dependencies. You'll need to inistall libxtst at least. 4) Java status can be found at: http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/java.html 5) A different version of java is available from http://www.blackdown.org/ 6) Opera browser tips are at http://www.opera.com/linux/docs/plugins/ and http://www.opera.com/support/search/supsearch.dml?index=459 . Opera uses java directly now, no longer relying on the plugin.
If you have java or flash actually working, please post your instructions here!
