PS1: i just downloaded the DSL-application on a windows-PC with the IE...? (i could download it with firefox1.04 or Dillo)

PS2: (not the playstation) I just used fireftp (in firefox) and i did manage to download the DSL-application. Strange?

could be the browser(?) you're using is seeing it as a text file?  I get that sometimes with various filetypes in Firefox, and in fact just experienced it when testing in the repository.  I almost always save files in Firefox by right-clicking the links.
