I'm new to DSL and I mounted my computers hard drive so I can access my windows files.  When I try to move or copy files I get a message that it is a read only file system.  How do I fix this?

Is your Windows partition NTFS?  If so, DSL cannot write to it without first needing additional software (Captive NTFS).  That's something i've never done, so i'm sorry i can't help you with it.

If it's not NTFS, what did you do to mount it?

I dont know if its NFTS.  I dont think so because when I first tried to move or copy windows files on emelfm I was able to do so without any problem.  When I booted next I couldnt do that again.

I mount drives using the desktop "slit"  I guess thats what its called. You just click it to mount sda1, hda1, floppy etc.

Im so new with linux.
