Hello , I am relatively new to Linux , mostly using Winme, so sorry if my questions seem silly to some Linux-experts.
I have had trouble making my printer work with aps-filter ,
so i just mailed to the adress of andreas , and surprisingly
he answered very quick.He was a bit disappointed that I didnt read the "handbook" first.OK we from Windows dont know what a handbook is at all, right ?
Apsfilter seems to be a collection of tools and drivers , all opensource , apsfilter is just an assembly of many components , please dont make Andreas responsible if it doesnt work at first try.
DSL makers seem to have removed a few data to save
memory ,but thats the whole idea behind it , downsizing a
system, so I think thats ok, but they should have mentioned two facts :
1.On some printerdrivers you cant print a testpage , because the testpages have been removed , but the printerdriver is
working anyway.
2. Some printerdrivers have not been compiled in , because they would be just doubble, the Gimp drivers should work in mostl cases.
