I'm trying to save/restore my printer settings.  Read the posts but they're a little spotty....

/etc/printcap is a simlink to /KNOPPIX/etc/printcap

I've tried putting both /etc/printcap and subsequently /KNOPPIX/etc/printcap into my .filetool.lst but when I reboot all I get is the original blank printcap file.

Any pointers on how to have this file restored properly??

Note:
the files in /usr/etc/apsfilter and in /var/spool/lpd/lp seem to be getting restored properly.

Look at my printerhowto pdf. It describes saving all your settings.
