Hi,

I've been wrestling with intalling a printer on an install of SUSE on an AMD/500 for quite some time.  I had an CD of DSL sitting around.  I threw up my hands this morning and put DSL on the machine. It's very nice; less complicated.

I was using or trying to use CUPS to handle my printer(HP 990CXI((I think; might be a 930))).  My questions are these:
1)Can I set up a printer on DSL and share it without Samba or something else,
2)If I need to download and install CUPS, or is there another way??, is the kernel going to fly into pieces?  If no one has an answer, I'll just go ahead and try to do this, and learn the hard way.
Thanks,
Peter
