I've come upon a strange phenomenon in recent versions of DSL. The @-key isn't working in firefox with german keyboard layouts rendering the firefox browser basically useless for web-mail. In Dillo, however, everythings fine, except for the fact that Dillo can't display the website properly. Any idea what's wrong with firefox?

TIA

One (temporary) solution is to use copy-paste to get the @ to firefox.

eg. open a terminal, type @@@ and copy-paste that to firefox where needed.
(higlight with mouse and then middle-click to paste)

it works..

I have the same problem with finnish keyboard.

I will try to figure a solution to this problem!!

look at this post about firefox and alt-GR.  Open an xterminal and type

Code Sample

xmodmap -e "remove mod4 = Mode_switch"
xmodmap -e "add mod5 = Mode_switch"
