Hi dears,

I wonder if there is an alternative to the vnc viewer enabling the use of european keyboard maps.

In the last 2.3 of dsl, the default vnc viewer always doesn't map all keys in european keyboards (strg, caps, ...), so that they won't be sent to the other machine. As a result for me, I can't select more Docs together with ctrl+a or copy/paste in the other machine, which strongly restrict the access to this machine. Any ideas for a replacement?

Once this last issue solve, dsl will be my only one installed os.
Keep up the very good works!

... and finally, I solved it.

Solution: I installed winxp on my other machine on the net with xp-rdesktop utility up and running; then, I used rdesktop in order to access my xp-machine from my dsl-box (dsl-live cd used on my laptop - vaio pcg-fx802, 256 mb ram, 1,3 ghz).

Result: Rdesktop keep the fr_CH latin nodeadkey keyboard layout when accessing the xp-machine, so that I can work on it without anymore trouble. And rdesktop is much faster than vnc

Question 1: Why do the dsl team keep vnc?

Question 2: How can I tweak rdesktop in dsl in order to get a better resolution than only 800x600 with colors at 8 bits?

Thanks a lot for your answer. Next step: Installing dsl on my laptop as the only os on this laptop.
